UMD football's Kyle Walljasper nominated for Harlon Hill Trophy
The University of Minnesota Duluth’s (UMD) own Kyle Walljasper is being recognized as one of the best players in Division II football. This week he earned a nomination for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which has been awarded to the most valuable DII player since 1986.
Walljasper, a nominee for the second straight year, is among 43 nationwide candidates. This fall, the redshirt junior averaged 200 passing yards a game, tossing 22 touchdowns. He also rushed for 806 yards with two touchdowns.
