Last Saturday the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team rebounded from their first loss in a big way earning their second shutout of the season, and first at home, toppling the University of Mary 46-0.
In order to restart a win streak the Bulldogs will need to keep their focus heading back on the road this weekend visiting Minot State University.
“Coming into the season, obviously people had their doubts with our offense. We were able to get our run game going early on, something we focus on. Pushing for those five, six yard runs, create 20 or 30 yard runs, and then that allows defense crashing down that opens up our pass game,” junior wide receiver Jimmy Durocher said.
“I think our guys are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel here and know that we have an opportunity if we can continue to win. So we’ll play inspired football here for the last four weeks and will start this weekend hopefully at Minot,” head coach Curt Wiese said.
The Bulldogs enter with a 6-1 record to Minot State’s 1-6. In the last 10 years UMD has won all 10 meetings against the Beavers.
Kickoff Saturday in North Dakota is 1 p.m..
