UMD football’s Pitz and Williams named to D2CCA Football Super Region 4 Teams

Two standouts on the University of Minnesota Duluth’s (UMD) football team earned top honors on Thursday, being named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Football Super Region 4 Teams.

Graduate tight end Sam Pitz was selected for the First Team Offense. Pitz was named to the 2023 D2CCA Football Super Region 4 First Team Offense and has earned four NSIC First Team All-Conference honors. In the 2024 season, Pits averaged 10.9 yards per catch and 32.7 yards per game.

Sixth year Aiden Williams received Second Team Offense honors. Williams was selected for the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl and was named to the 2024 NSIC First Team All-Conference in November. In the 2024 season, Williams helped the offensive line average 213.7 yards a game.
