UMD great Caroline Ouellette named to IIHF Hall of Fame

On Tuesday University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey alum Caroline Ouellette was named to the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
The 2005 UMD graduate helped lead the Bulldogs to a national championship in 2003. She then returned for the 2007-2008 season as an assistant coach helping UMD win their fourth NCAA title.
She remains the program’s third all-time leading scorer tallying 229 points in just 97 games.
A Montreal native Ouellette has won an impressive four Olympic gold medals for Canada and six IIHF Women’s Worlds gold medals, as well as four Canadian Women’s Hockey League championships.
She retired from playing hockey in 2018.
