UMD men’s basketball drops first game of 2023

After Saturday’s loss to Northern State, University of Minnesota Duluth men’s basketball team went looking for a fresh start into 2023. The Bulldogs opened up the year with a home match against Minnesota State University Moorhead on Sunday.
The Bulldog’s first bucket of the game came from a smooth layup by Charlie Katona. The Dragons held the lead throughout the game, and the Bulldogs fought but couldn’t make a comeback losing 58 to 72.
Two Bulldogs clocked in double digits scoring, Drew Blair led the way with 19 and Joshua Brown with 10.
The next time the Bulldogs will hit the hardwood to rebound from this loss on the road to St. Paul on Friday, January 6th, against Concordia St. Paul. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
