The UMD men’s basketball team couldn’t get the NSIC tournament championship trophy in their trophy case, but the consolation prize will do.

UMD is headed to the NCAA tournament for the third year in a row, as they’ve slotted into the three seed in the Central region.

The Bulldogs will face Fort Hays State, who similar to UMD, lost in their conference semifinal.

The winner will move on to the semifinal, where they will face the winner of the second seeded Northwest Missouri State Bearcats and the seventh seeded Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs.
