UMD men’s hockey downs St. Cloud State in regular season finale

The regular season is over for the UMD men’s hockey team, ending with a 3-2 win over St. Cloud State.

Anthony Menghini was electric all weekend, and continued to put on a show on Saturday night, scoring the first two goals of the game for the Bulldogs.

Despite a push by the Huskies to cut the deficit to just one goal, Jack Smith got his stick on a puck to extend the Bulldogs lead to 3-1. UMD would allow one more goal, but it wouldn’t matter.

The Bulldogs now turn to the NCHC tournament, in which they secured a 7 seed, and will face Arizona State next weekend.
