UMD men’s hockey prepares to open their 2025 year against Alaska Fairbanks
The University of Minnesota Duluth men’s hockey team returns to AMSOIL Arena on January 3rd. The Bulldogs got momentum from a 4-2 win over Bemidji on Tuesday and now open their 2025-year hosting Alaska Fairbanks.
The Bulldogs and Nanooks haven’t met since the 2021-2022 season. Only four members of UMD’s squad remains from that series. The Bulldogs enter 6-10 to Alaska’s 6-9-3 record.
“It’s very important I think especially going into break and a few days after break the motto I guess was like a new second half kind of, but we needed to start off on the right foot especially with these three games in one week. We couldn’t really afford to drop many games at all so it’s obviously really big,” said UMD senior defenseman Owen Gallatin.
The Bulldogs will face off against the Nanooks at 7:07PM at AMSOIL Arena. The series finale will be Saturday, January 4th at 6:07PM. Click here to view their full season schedule.
