UMD men’s hockey stresses “desperation” ahead of series with #5 Denver
As the end of February creeps its way closer each day and March awaits around the corner, the college hockey season is on its way to a close for some teams.
For the UMD men’s hockey team, head coach Scott Sandelin says his squad better pick it up, or they’ll be one of them.
“Hopefully we can play better and get to the playoffs and beat somebody and get to the tournament,” said Sandelin. “Otherwise, it’s ending. So it’s right there. Like again, I can’t wait. I think if you don’t have urgency now, you’re never going to have it.”
UMD has a tough task this weekend, as Denver comes to town to play a weekend series at AMSOIL Arena.
