UMD men’s hoops land 3rd, women 8th in NSIC Preseason Polls
University of Minnesota Duluth men’s and women’s basketball teams landed in the NSIC preseason polls released on Thursday.
The Bulldog men have been slated to finish third after finishing in the second round of the NCAA regionals in the 2023-24 season. Fifth year Charlie Katona was named the UMD NSIC player to watch after starting all 33 games last season, scoring 424 points.
UMD men’s basketball open exhibition play on October 25th against Division I opponent University of Iowa.
The UMD women landed eighth in the polls, with junior Myra Moorjani being named the women’s UMD NSIC player to watch after solidifying a starting spot at the end of the 2023-24 season.
