UMD men’s, women’s basketball handle Minnesota-Crookston
Both the UMD men’s and women’s basketball teams took care of business against Minnesota-Crookston, with the men winning 72-62 and the women winning 82-59.
On the men’s side, the Bulldogs took a commanding lead in the first half thanks to Charlie Katona pouring in 12 of his 16 points.
While the Bulldogs did go up big, they allowed Minnesota-Crookston to creep back into the picture, as they only held a seven point lead at the break.
In the second half, Drew Blair would put his foot on the gas, and he’d finish with 29 points, a game high.
The Bulldogs will look for their 15th win on Saturday against Bemidji State at 5:30 p.m.
On the women’s side, they dominated wire to wire, as they led the Golden Eagles by 20 at halftime.
The Bulldogs had four players in double figures, and used the big lead as a chance to get more bench players some experience.
The Bulldogs are taking on Bemidji State at 3:30 p.m.
