Both UMD basketball teams are gearing up towards their NSIC tournaments, and their placements have been revealed.

For the men’s team, they ripped through the regular season en route to a first round bye in the tournament.

The Bulldogs snagged the second seed, just two games back of Minnesota State for the top seed overall.

UMD has easily been playing their best stretch of basketball at the right time of year, rattling off 11 straight wins.

the bulldogs will wait patiently for Wednesday’s game between Augustana and Wayne State before facing the winner of that matchup this upcoming Saturday.

The women’s team will be in action on Wednesday night at Romano Gymnasium taking on Sioux Falls.

The Bulldogs beat Sioux Falls twice this season, once by 18 and a second time by 27.

if the 6 seeded bulldogs were to win, they’d set up a date with Concordia St. Paul on Sunday, who they lost to by nine in the regular season.
