All it took was one goal from the UMD soccer team to snap a winless streak dating back to September 17th, as they beat Minot State on Sunday, 1-0.
The Bulldogs lone goal came off the foot of Miriam Marsan, who scored off a penalty kick thanks to the foul committed on Morgan Eckerle.
UMD won the shots on goal margin, 10-4, but didn’t even register their first shot until six minutes into the game, a testament to the defense both teams displayed.
Up next for UMD is Minnesota State Moorhead on Friday at 3 p.m.
