UMD soccer takes on new assistant coach in Aaron Blanchard
UMD women’s soccer announced on Thursday that they would be adding another name to their coaching staff with Aaron Blanchard taking on the role of assistant coach.
Blanchard just completed his first season as head coach of the Superior City FC Women, where he coached eight Bulldogs. Superior FC Women finished 6-2-3 in the postseason.
Blanchard graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior in 2020, where he also played soccer. He helped UW-Superior to two Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championships (2017 and 2018).
Prior to coaching Superior FC Womens, Blanchard was JV and assistant varsity coach for Cloquet High School (2019-2020), assistant coach for the Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club (2018-2020), assistant coach for both the Northland College Jacks and Jills soccer programs (2020-2023), and head women’s soccer coach for Northland College (2023).
