UMD softball sweeps Bemidji State on the road
On Tuesday, the UMD softball team took care of business on the road beating Bemidji State 7-0 in game one and 7-4 in game two of a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader.
In game one, a 2-0 lead for UMD would be broken open by Dea Deleon who singled and Kiana Bender, who tripled to score Deleon.
Later, the Bulldogs would put up a four run top of the sixth inning to bury the Beavers and close out game one with a win.
In game two, after falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, the Bulldogs would respond with a four run top of the second inning, with Kiana Bender blasting her second home run of the season.
The Bulldogs (23-10) will face Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday before heading to Concordia St. Paul University.
