UMD track and field’s Austin Antony sets new school record in 5000m
It was yet another big weekend for the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s and women’s track teams as they competed at the Tomcat Invite on Friday at the University of St. Thomas.
The Bulldogs had two first place finishes in the women’s 800m and women’s 200m races.
With senior Cailee Peterson leading the way with a dominating podium finish in the 800m race with a time of 2:10.27.
On the men’s side, the Bulldogs claimed three top spots on the evening.
In the 5,000m race Austin Antony ran a 14:40.7, not only a personal best but was also a UMD school record to finish on first.
