UMD Volleyball falls in heartbreaking NSIC semifinal
The UMD Volleyball team lost in 5 sets to Concordia St. Paul with a trip to the NSIC championship on the line.
The sixth seeded UMD volleyball team was just a few points away from upsetting the second seed, Concordia St. Paul on Saturday night, but ultimately fell short in the NSIC semifinal, losing in 5 sets.
After falling in the first set, the Bulldogs rallied to win the next two, winning the second set 25-22 behind a crucial Concordia St. Paul service error. In the third set, the two teams went back and forth until the Bulldogs eventually pulled out the set win, 25-19.
The Bulldogs lost the 4th set, and in the 5th, completely ran out of gas, scoring just 7 points in a 15-7 defeat.
The Bulldogs will wait to see if their season continues in the NCAA selection show on Monday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 PM.
