The University of Minnesota Duluth was just one point away from moving to 10-1 on the season, however, they were on the wrong end of a major comeback, as the Northern State Wolves won in five sets.
Both teams were undefeated in NSIC play, but UMD now falls to 2-1.
UMD found themselves winning the first two sets, 26-24 and 25-19, but lost the next set, 26-24.
UMD’s Paige Decker led the match with 19 kills, and Emma Kujawa had four aces.
UMD has a quick opportunity to bounce back, when they take on Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday, where the team will celebrate “Parent’s Day.”
