UMD volleyball makes NCAA tournament, set to face familiar foe
The UMD volleyball team is seeking revenge against Wayne State when they face them in the first round of the NCAA tournament on November 30th.
After a heartbreaking five set loss on Saturday, the UMD volleyball team seemed like they were on the outside looking into the NCAA tournament.
Fast forward to Monday, and the Bulldogs will have a matchup with a familiar foe.
UMD received the #7 seed in the Central Region and will face Wayne State, the team that swept them in Romano Gymnasium on homecoming.
Wayne state finished the season with a 28-2 record, and lost in the semifinals of the NSIC tournament to Saint Cloud State.
The Central Region’s games will be held on the home court of Concordia St. Paul, who are the one seed in the region.
UMD and Wayne State hit the hardwood on November 30th.
