UMD volleyball opens “Up North” Tournament with a win

On Thursday night, the University of Minnesota Duluth volleyball team served up their first game at Romano Gym this season. The #7 Bulldogs played host to the Up North Preseason tournament, entering with a 4-0 record facing off against Michigan Tech.
The Bulldogs won match one 10-8 behind Grace Dakk as she led the team with 8 kills along with Samantha Paulsen and Cianna Selbitschka.
The Bulldogs got down in one set but managed to fight back and win 3-0. They will hit the hardwood again on Friday against Central Washington at Romano Gym with a tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
