UMD women’s basketball Olson named DII Honda Athlete of the Year Finalist

This year University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball fans were blessed with seeing one of the best athletes on the court. Now the country has taken notice as graduate student Brooke Olson was named a DII Honda athlete of the Year finalist.
She is one of 11 finalist for the award, which will be voted on at the end of the academic year by national balloting this coming June.
Olson averaged 28.5 Points per game during the NCAA tournament and was also named to the MCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team.
Olson is just the second-ever Honda Sports Finalist at for any Bulldog team in history.
