Show time is almost here for the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball team as we are now less than 24 hours till the NCAA DII women’s basketball championship gets underway.
The Bulldogs have been hard at work getting ready for an Ashland team who hasn’t loss this season.
Ashland has gone a perfect 36-0, so when asked how the team would stop the Eagles game plan here is what they responded with.
“It comes down to our game preparation, our coaches do a great job of putting together a really detailed scouting report, making sure that we’re prepared every single game that we go into. But then also, I think it’s our mentality, we have a really great group of 16 girls and we just love each other and we love spending time together and we love playing basketball together,” said graduate student forward Brooke Olson.
“The greatest strength of our offense as we move the ball really well. Our players have learned how not to force things. So I’m really hopeful that as the game goes on that our players can make some in-game adjustments right away,” added head coach Mandy Pearson.
The game is slated for a 2:30 p.m. tip-off and you can watch it on CBS Sports Network.
