UMD women’s hockey adds Swedish defender Paula Bergstrom

Another roster update for the University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team as the Bulldogs have added Swedish Olympic defenseman Paula Bergstrom to their line-up.

She will serve as a replacement following the departure of senior defenseman Taylor Stewart to Minnesota earlier this month.

Bergstrom, who will be a senior next year, played three of the last four seasons at Long Island University.

In thirty games for the Sharks she recorded three goals and 12 assist, she has also played in two IIHF World Championships.
