UMD women’s hockey looks to solve UVM in just second ever meeting
The UMD women’s hockey team is ready to get rolling on Friday night when they take on the University of Vermont. With just the second time meeting ever, the unknown will certainly be made apparent in one certain aspect of the game.
“I feel like their power play is a little similar to Bemidji State, so hopefully we have some good chances on the power play, but five on five I would say they forecheck a 2-3, which is something not normally seen in the WCHA, so that’ll be an adjustment for us, but I think just as we practice their forecheck in our practice is coming up, hopefully we’ll capitalize on that and be able to break out,” said Tova Henderson, a junior defender.
The first meeting between the two programs came in 2017. Puck drop is Friday at 6 p.m., with tickets just $1.
