UMD women’s hockey sees season end at the hands of Cornell

UMD women's hockey celebrates a win, advancing to the WCHA Final Faceoff Semifinals.
The UMD women’s hockey team couldn’t find the back of the net in a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Cornell on Saturday in the NCAA tournament, ending their season.
Neither team scored in the first two periods of the game, and Ève Gascon continued her excellent play this year by tallying 20 saves in the contest. However, in the third period, Alyssa Regalado scored just around four minutes into play to put the Big Red ahead for good.
The Bulldogs put up 28 shots on net, but each of them were saved by Cornell’s goaltender Annelies Bergmann.
UMD ends their season with a 22-15-2 overall record.
