A WCHA series sweep was exactly what the UMD Women’s hockey team wanted as they traveled to Mankato.
Two days later, it’s what they got, after a 4-1 victory on Saturday.
After Gabby Krause scored an incredible goal, as the puck bounced off her body on a ricochet and into the net, everything went the Bulldogs way.
Mary Kate O’Brien scored her second goal in as many days along with Jenna Lawry to put the Bulldogs up 3-1.
Later, Krause would use a nifty move to net her second goal of the day and officially put the game away at 4-1.
The Bulldogs will stay on the road next weekend when they head to Bemidji State University on Friday and Saturday. The puck will drop on Friday’s game at 3 p.m.
