When Mannon McMahon scored her fourth goal Friday, she became the first player to accomplish the feat since 2011.
Though McMahon didn’t find the goal on Saturday, her teammate, Clara Van Wieren, registered a hat trick of her own, propelling the UMD Bulldogs past the Long Island University Sharks, 4-0.
The Bulldogs benefitted from their massive shot differential, in which they outshot LIU 79-18 and had 55 shots on goal to LIU’s 10.
Van Wieren scored the first three goals of the game, but Reece Hunt was the Bulldogs other scorer.
UMD is back in action on Friday, October 13th against Ohio State at AMSOIL Arena. Puck drop is set for 3:01 p.m.
