UMD's Caitlin Kraemer named HCA Rookie of the Year
On Thursday, University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey’s own freshman Caitlin Kraemer was named the Hockey Commissioner’s Association’s 2025 Julie Chu Rookie of the Year.
In her first season of collegiate play, the Ontario native led all freshman nationally with 18 total goals, including two shorthanded goals. She also ranked second with seven power play goals and four game winning goals. Kraemer totaled 31 points, 18 goals and 13 assists, in 39 games.
Kraemer is the first ever Bulldog to earn the honor of HCA’s Julie Chu Rookie of the Year.
