UMD’s Cole Spicer leaving men’s hockey program
UMD men’s hockey’s Cole Spicer will not be back with the team last year, according to Duluth News Tribune.
Spicer was ruled academically ineligible in the second half of this past season, and was a big loss for the Bulldogs, as Spicer had five goals and four assists through 17 games as a sophomore.
A 2022 fourth-round NHL draft pick of the Boston Bruins and native of Grand Forks, North Dakota won’t just be taking a break from UMD, but will be taking a break from hockey as a whole, citing personal and mental stuff first as the reasons for stepping away.
