On Thursday, UMD women’s hockey’s sophomore Eve Gascon was named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s (WCHA) Goaltender of the Month for December.

Gascon earned the Bulldogs the extra WCHA point in a shootout win over St. Cloud on December 6th, tallying three shootout saves along with 22 stops in the game. The next day (December 7th), she made 27 saves.

Against the Huskies, Gascon had the highest save percentage among goaltenders that faced 40 or more shots in the WCHA with an average of 24.5 saves.
