UMD’s Gascon and Kraemer earn spots on USCHO teams

The postseason awards keep rolling in for University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey, as Eve Gascon and Caitlin Kraemer have landed themselves on USCHO teams.

Gascon has been named to the All-USCHO first team, while Kraemer has been named to All-USCHO rookie team after taking home the USCHO Rookie of the Year title on Thursday.

Gascon was also named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Goaltender of the Year, and a finalist for the HCA Goaltender of the Year after a standout sophomore season.

Gascon averaged 29.8 saves a game this past season, and tallied 12 games with 32 or more stops, including six games with 40 or more stops.

Kraemer was also named WCHA Rookie of the Year – becoming the third ever Bulldog to earn the title, along with the HCA 2025 Julie Chu Rookie of the Year.

Kraemer led all freshman nationally this season with 18 goals and tallied 13 assists for a total of 31 points. That number ties her for 16th most points by a freshman in UMD history.
