Two UMD women’s hockey players, Reece Hunt and Ève Gascon were honored for their play this week with two WCHA awards.

Hunt was named the WCHA Forward of the Week after a five goal, one assist weekend.

Hunt figured in six of UMD’s nine goals and scored more than half of them including four in Friday’s game against St. Thomas.

Between the pipes, Ève Gascon won Rookie of the Week, after posting a 1.01 goals against average against the Tommies on Saturday night in UMD’s 5-1 win.

UMD is back on home ice this weekend against St. Cloud State.
