UMD’s Walljasper nominated for Harlon Hill Trophy
Kyle Walljasper was nominated for the Harlon Hill Trophy on Monday thanks to his incredible 2023 season.
While the UMD football season has been over for a couple of weeks, the awards are still coming in.
Quarterback Kyle Walljasper was nominated for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which is comparable to the Heisman trophy in Division I.
The Redshirt Sophomore exceeded all expectations this year, with 39 total touchdowns this season, tying him for the second most touchdowns in a single season in program history.
With over 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground, adding in 22 touchdowns and over 1500 years by the air, and one receiving touchdown, Walljasper solidified himself as not only one of the UMD greats, but a force to be reckoned with in college football.
The winner of the 2024 award will be announced on Friday, December 15th.
