UW-Superior women’s basketball punches their ticket to the UMAC championship game

On Wednesday, the University of Wisconsin Superior women’s basketball team earned their spot in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championship game by defeating Martin Luther in overtime in their semifinal matchup.

The Yellowjackets would be lead in points by MyKenzie Leccia who would net 24 points against Martin Luther, followed by Elise Besonen with 19 points, and Elsa Olson with 16 points. UW-Superior would make 39.4 percent of their three-pointers, and 78.6 percent of their free throws.

The Knights would be lead in points by Emma Dorn who would net 25 points against UW-Superior, followed by Mya Morris with 23 points and Lauren Paulsen with 9 points. Martin Luther would make 39.3 percent of their three-pointers, and 63.6 percent of their free throws.
