UW-Superior women’s hockey skates past Concordia-Moorhead

On Friday, the University of Wisconsin Superior women’s hockey team slipped past Concordia College Moorhead 2-1.

The Yellowjackets netted points from Stacy Steiner assisted by Gaby Andreacchi in the first period, and Kaylin Garner assisted by Darbie Mattson in the second. Steiner’s goal marked her first as a Yellowjacket. The Cobbers netted their sole point on the power play in the third, courtesy of Abbey Reule assisted by Abbey Hardwick.

UWS’s goaltender Molly Black saw 29 shots on goal, making 28 saves and allowing 1 score. Concordia’s goaltender Ashlea Arvidson saw 21 shots on goal, making 19 saves and allowing 2 goals.
