UWS hosts UMAC indoor track & field championships

The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) indoor track & field championships got off to the races on Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS). The two day event runs Friday and Saturday at the Dr. Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse in Superior.

The UWS men finished day one in first place with 112 points, while the women are sitting third with 45 points.

The Yellowjacket men took first in six events: 60m hurdles (Earl Foster, 8.59), 60 meter dash (Will Schorr, 6.95), 5000 meters (Zachary Reese, 16:14.29), distance medley relay (11:09.12), weight throw (Carson Wilhorn, 15.85m), and the long jump (Will Schorr, 6.57m).

The Yellowjacket women took first in the high jump, with Bel Dimaze reaching a height of 1.52m. For full day one results, click here.
