UWS men’s basketball overpowered, UWS women take care of Bethany Lutheran
While both the University of Wisconsin-Superior men’s and women’s basketball teams took on Bethany Lutheran, it was a split fate, as the men’s team lost 69-47 while the women snuck past Bethan Lutheran 74-70.
The men were overpowered from the start, facing a double digit deficit just minutes into the game.
The men didn’t have a single scorer in double digits, resulting in a difficult night on the offensive end.
The women were on the opposite end of the men, with three scorers in double figures, including Erika Mattson who had a game high 19 points.
Both the men and women’s teams are back in action Saturday against Martin Luther, with the women hitting the court first at 3 p.m. and the men following at 4:45 p.m.
