UWS men’s basketball stays unbeaten against Ripon
The UWS men's basketball team had a scare against Ripon, but ultimately pulled out the victory on Saturday night.
A 71-65 victory in favor of the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets lifted their record to a perfect 5-0, as they beat Ripon on Saturday night.
The Yellowjackets, who were lead by J’Vaun Walker’s 19 points and Joey Barker’s 14 points, shot a cool 41% from the field.
A big reason for the Yellowjackets victory was their scoring outburst in the second half, as they poured on 43 points to Ripon’s 46, staying with them every step of the way and using their nine point lead from the first half to their advantage.
The Yellowjackets will try to reach 6-0 when they play UW-Stevens Point on December 2nd.
