The UWS men's hockey team was stellar on Saturday night, beating UW-Stevens Point 3-1.
The UWS men’s hockey team was electric on Saturday night, upsetting #8 UW-Stevens Point, 3-1.
Despite being outshot by three, the Yellowjacket used their physicality and stellar goaltending from Jan Skorpik (26 saves) to outlast the Pointers.
In the first period, Blake Holmes found the back of the net, and just minutes later, it was Justin Dauphinais who followed suit, putting the Yellowjackets up 2-0.
Gavin Rasmussen net his fifth goal of the season in the third period, essentially putting the game away.
The Yellowjackets are now 6-6 and look to climb over the .500 mark against Northland College on Friday.
