UWS men's hockey rallies past Concordia Wisconsin to win OT thriller
On Tuesday the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) men’s hockey team pulled out an overtime victory defeating Concordia University Wisconsin 3-2 at Wessman Arena.
Trailing 1-0 with under a minute left in the first period Justin Dauphinais scored the equalizer to make it 1-1 after the first. Then UWS’ Gavin Rasmussen tied it 2-2 in the final minute of the second period. This would eventually force OT, with Blake Holmes scoring the game-winner late for the Yellowjackets.
UWS improves to 3-5 earning their second straight win. They next visit Northland College on Friday with puck drop set for 7 p.m. in Ashland, Wis.
