UWS men’s soccer advances to second round of NCAA tournament with intense 1-0 win

All it took was one goal for the UWS men’s soccer team to take down North Park in the opening round of the NCAA tournament, as the Yellowjackets won 1-0.
Neither team scored in the first half, but in the second, UWS’ chances started to increase and ultimately, UWS broke through, when Josh Bellamy scored in the 60th minute with a strike to the top right corner of the goal.
The Yellowjackets defense held strong, limited North Park’s chances en route to the win.
UWS now advances to face St. Olaf on Sunday, with the game set for 1 p.m.
