UWS Men’s Soccer brings home two UMAC Player of the Week Awards
The UWS Men's and Women's soccer team have reigned over the UMAC for multiple years now, but it's the diverse nature of the rosters that help the teams.
This week, Jake Kidd and Alex Paredes of the UWS Men’s Soccer team secured weekly UMAC honors.
Kidd was the winner of UMAC’s Offensive Player of the Week, while Paredes won Defensive Player of the Week.
Kidd secured his second award of the year after a hat trick performance, followed up by a goal the next day.
Paredes tallied two clean sheets this weekend, and in a testament to the defense in front of him, only faced seven shots in two games. Paredes also clinched the program shutout record with 14 and is now the Yellowjacket leader.
The Yellowjackets are back in action on Tuesday against Macalester.
