UWS men’s, women’s soccer repeat as UMAC champions
Ten combined goals between the UWS men’s and women’s soccer team was enough for both teams to win the UMAC championship over Bethany Lutheran, with the men winning their 8th straight title 6-2, and the women making it four straight to the tune of a 4-0 win.
The men got the day started with a bang, as Jake Kidd led the way with a two goal effort, joined in with a goal each by Aaron Shartin-Folkert, Freddy Watson, Isaac Becket, and Phillip Eriksen.
The Yellowjackets win clinched their eighth straight UMAC championship, with yet another NCAA tournament appearance on the horizon.
The women’s squad also benefitted from a two goal performance, this time by Kamryn Hill, who scored the first two goals of the game.
The third and fourth goals came from Tori Vosburg and Niya Wilson respectively, each goal inching them closer to finish line.
The Yellowjackets clinch their fourth straight UMAC championship.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will learn their seeding and opponent for the NCAA tournament on Monday.
