UWS softball blows out Northland college in both games of doubleheader
In the home opener for UWS softball, the Yellowjackets blew the doors off of Northland College, winning 8-0 and 16-0 in a doubleheader.
Due to the mercy rule, the Yellowjackets played just ten innings total, as both games ended in the fifth inning.
In the first game, the Yellowjackets scored seven of their eventual eight runs in the second inning, all with two outs.
In the second game, the offensive onslaught was almost instant, as 11 players had at least one hit, tallying 15 hits and an eight run first inning.
The Yellowjackets will put their seven game win streak on the line against Martin Luther on Thursday.
