On Saturday, the UW-Superior softball team came away with a doubleheader split against Northwestern, winning game one 6-5 but falling in game two, 9-1.

In game one, it took a heroic comeback by the Yellowjackets, who were once down 4-1, to come back and win.

A three run bottom of the fourth and two run bottom of the fifth, in combination with excellent defense, secured a win.

In game two, the Yellowjackets offense wouldn’t be as potent, scoring just one run after allowing six in the top of the first.

The Yellowjackets close their series with Northwestern on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
