UWS unveils grand opening schedule for new stadium

On Tuesday the University of Wisconsin-Superior shared plans for the grand opening of their new Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Friday, October 11 at 4:30 p.m. In their official release UWS stated that, “speakers at the event will include representatives from UW-Superior, Superior Choice Credit Union as well as Northern Interstate Construction, the project’s contractor”.

Then Saturday, October 12 will feature a day full of events, including the stadium hosting it’s first games.

Saturday, Oct. 12
9 a.m. – UW-Superior Alumni Track and Field Meet
11 a.m. – Cenovus Energy Fan Zone Opening
12:30 p.m. – Stadium Gates Open
1 p.m. – Men’s Soccer vs. Minnesota Morris
3:30 p.m. – Women’s Soccer vs. Minnesota Morris

Additionally, the first 100 fans through the gate on Saturday will receive a free t-shirt commemorating the stadium’s grand opening.
