In the championship of the Superior Shootout Holiday Classic, the University of Wisconsin-Superior women’s basketball team fell on their home court, 61-46 to St. Norbert.

The Yellowjackets found themselves down seven points at the beginning of the first quarter and ten by halftime. but would use a strong second half to cut the deficit. However, St. Norbert would match the Yellowjackets every step, outscoring them in the 4th quarter by five.

UWS was led by Elise Besonen, who poured in 13 points, followed by MyKenzie Leccia who had 12.

The Yellowjackets are back in action next Saturday against Northland College.
