Van Wieren, Mobley’s career milestones power #4 UMD women’s hockey past Vermont

Clara Van Wieren’s 100th collegiate point and Oliva Mobley’s 50th collegiate goal pushed #4 UMD women’s hockey past the University of Vermont, 4-0.

The scoring was started in the first period, when Caitlin Kraemer sent a shot on net that was deflected and put in net by Danielle Burgen. The Bulldogs scored soon after, when Van Wieren spun and found the back of the net, leading to the 100th point of her collegiate career.

In the second period, the Bulldogs scored twice more, as Ida Karlsson scored just a minute into the frame, while Olivia Mobley’s 50th career goal game on a power play.

The Bulldogs look to secure a series sweep against the Catamounts on Saturday, with a 3:01 p.m. puck drop.
