The Minnesota Vikings continue on with training camp, practicing for the first time this season inside U.S Bank Stadium.
“I think it is good for everyone obviously, there are some guys that have played a lot of games in this place. For a lot of guys though they haven’t even stepped foot in this building yet. So it is always good to be back in here, run around a little bit and go through some game situations. You know everyone is off the field so it is different than normal training camp where everyone is on the field. It is monotonous at times but, it is always good to be in here and it is good for our team,” said Vikings Widereciever Adam Thielen.
The other big news coming out of the day was the induction of defensive end, Jared Allen into the Vikings Ring of Honor to wrap up the practice.
Allen is now the 27th member to be inducted, he is an All-Pro and the Vikings single-season sacks record holder of 22, in 2011.
“Obviously super happy for him, like you said being a teammate of his and seeing the type of player he was day-in, day-out. Then seeing him on Sundays what he was doing, then before that growing up watching him seeing him play for a few years before I played with him. He is a really special football player,” added Thielen.
A ceremony will be held at halftime of Minnesota’s week 8 game against Arizona on October 30th, to celebrate the achievement.
