Wilderness outlast Steel in physical matchup
On Friday night, the Minnesota Wilderness took down the Chippewa Steel 4-3 in one of the most physical games of the season.
The physicality started in the first period after the Steel scored first, as there were multiple fights between the teams, resulting in four ejections total. The two teams combined for 16 unique penalties.
As for the goal scoring, the Wilderness evened up the score thanks to Noah Dziver in the first period, but they allowed a goal just two minutes into the second period, putting them back down a goal. Payton Struck scored the equalizer though, evening the game back at 2-2.
After a third allowed goal, the Wilderness were able to put it all together for a comeback, as Jakeb Lynch and Lucas Jendek scored back-to-back to give the Wilderness the win.
